Let's Start @ the Very Beginning, It's a Very Good Place to Start...

Alright, so I am wired for music, thus the title. Not so much into The Sound of Music, but, none the less reminds us that we need to start at the beginning. The ABC's of growing in your computerness. Yes, I know that is not a word. I made it up. But it will do just fine.

I am going to layout each one of these little computer coaching sessions the same way. We will begin with an intro of what we will cover. Followed by me including a Video Tutorial so you can watch along. (as many times as you need to) You will see the pic that says, 'Click HERE for Video'. Clicking on that pic will open up a new window that will take you to the video tutorial. There you can watch it and then close and return here!

Then to bring our session to a close, I will leave you with any links or final information you will need to use what was introduced and to put it into action!
Some will find these sessions very, very, very basic to start. But I need to start here. I know 85% of my friends will not know how to do these first sessions. So I know there are many more like them out there. Remember I am on a Mac/ Apple/ Not Windows. So somethings might look a tad different. Don't panic, although very different, what we will be doing will be fine. If its time for a new computer, check out your Apple Dealer.

Since we are on the internet, I want to start with...

Browser, Menu Bar, Tool Bar, Using your mouse to right click and to choose commands, opening a new window & or tab while browsing, bookmarking sites, organizing bookmarks with folders and sub-folders.

You will need all of the above to be able to stay on top of where we go next. So, no skipping. Get ready! Your first Video Tutorial is next. Grab some coffee, turn up your volume and watch. You can always watch again by clicking the pic again and use stop, pause and rewind as you begin to do what is taught on your own. If you don't get on and practice, you wont keep up for next time!

Today we used FireFox, You can go HERE to download FireFox for your platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) Be Careful, see picture to the right, make sure to pick your platform! Just right Click on the link and choose to open in a new tab or Window, so you don't lose your spot here!
