Five Things I Learned After Turning Fifty

1. Nothing is as big a deal as it seems to be or that you make it out to be. Nothing! In the grand scheme of things...the bottom line is living your life with a spirit-filled heart. There is nothing else that demands importance. All issues of life come from the heart.
2. Give everything the consideration of time and space. Nothing is ever the same from one minute to the next. As you inhale deeply or walk away....situations, words, thought patterns...all change. It only takes a minute to influence an outcome.
3. Keeping busy with non-essential activities is not because you are an ambitious, A-type personality...it is because you are afraid. Stop running and face your fears. Living in the moment is all it is cracked up to be.
4. Our lives are not without purpose. Giving yourself permission to bloom where God has planted you brings much sweetness into the lives of those around you.
5. There is only one book from which all wisdom flows. If you never open a Bible you will never live the life you were meant to live.
