Destinations Do Change
God puts many things in place that we are often not prepared for and it is a wise person who will listen to the voice of the Lord, and then moving in the direction of His instruction. As we look at the time that God was telling Moses how to build the wilderness tabernacle, all the minute details and who was to do what, we find God plans for the largest to the smallest details for perfection. The same is true for our lives.
Exodus 31:3 (KJV) states, "And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship," There is a comma because God then states further the details of his craft and materials. What is true for all of us is the fact that God fills us with the spirit of God and we gain wisdom, understanding and knowledge for the work that he has planned for us to do.
Over the past several years the church has preached, taught, struggled with, and questioned the purpose of the particular congregation, and then in turn each individual went through the same process to determine what is their specific purpose in life. It is with this particular issue I write today.
This past year being a writer at Take Root and Write has been a pleasant journey and a blessing. I pray that the articles you have received each week have blessed you and/or nudged you in some way to consider your life. If we are becoming transformed into the mind of Christ as David was, then we are more than eager to ask God to shake us up, point our feet in the right direction, and show us where we need to change.
Farewells are never easy but I hope that you will be excited with me, as God has made promises years ago that now are waiting to be fulfilled. Just like Bezaleel was specifically called to do a particular job for the glory of the Lord, it took him many years to perfect his skills and workmanship to be used. This short verse shows us to keep doing what we know to do so that one day God will take us out of the learning lab and be used to do something or many things with the skills that he has perfected in us.
It is somewhat overwhelming to know that God will use what you know, but then add things on to the plan that will stretch you even further. And just like God, holding a carrot out in front to make you reach into the new pattern he has developed for you to craft.
This will be the last of my Differences Encouraged column as God pulls my vessel further out into the deep, allowing me to see the awesome sunrise and sunset of his plans from a different perspective. We can keep in touch through www.twitter.com/writer993 or my website www.mudministries.org the blog tab will keep the updates of my writing and other media expansions.
Of all the challenges presented through this column may you continue with the personal challenge of identification of you, finding your purpose, skills, and definition of your character. May you go for the crown of life, while digging in the soil of this life to plant and produce new things. And may you continually be blessed and loved, receive and share with others.
Don't be concerned how long you sit on the shelf or stay in the learning labs, if you ask God to use you, he will in his timing and for his perfect will.
Love and hugs,
