Call You by Your Name
Dear Child, I know how much it hurts. When people accuse you of things you don't do or when someone calls you a horrible name. It is bad enough to hear it firsthand from that person's own mouth, but how more soul crushing to know that you have been talked about. Then when you cry and reveal your pain, the excuses start rolling. "It was only a joke." "I thought that is what he said." "I did nothing wrong."
It hurts to the core of your being because the people you love the most, the ones you allow your heart to be open and vulnerable to are the very people who can slash you the deepest with words. Do you remember when Jesus walked the streets to the Place of the Skull which is called Golgotha? It was when he was walking, bearing His cross, that the multitudes witnessed all the abuse He had received. Jesus was mocked, called names, spit on, struck, belittled, beaten, and ridiculed. His broken body could barely drag the weight of the cross, but soon on the cross He would bear the sins of all people.
When you are mistreated remember that Jesus, suffered all things so that He could empathize with you and be able to intercede on your behalf. He knows what you need. He knows how you feel. He recalls the weight of the pain of being rejected, trashed, and totally disgraced.
I want you to remember one thing. It is the most comfort I could ever give to you if you are hurting from the words of someone close to you . . . "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine."
Don't ever let someone else determine your name, your value, or your truth. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you." When your tears pour down your face like flood gates being opened, look to Me. I am calling you by your good name. You are my daughter and you are precious in My sight.
Wipe your tears away, and let me see your smiling face, you are deeply loved and very special to Me.

Lindy,
This is a very powerful piece. It ministered to my spirit. God is using you as a powerful mouthpiece...
Thank you for your sacrifice and your loving heart.

So nice to see your photo. I have been reading your articles and love the depth and authenticity you bring to our magazine.
God showed me this applause a few weeks ago at a Writer's conference and so as it bubbled from my heart I needed to share it.
Thank you for the encouragement.
