Did You Hear the Applause

Dear Child,

As you walked under the cottonwood trees this winter, did you take the time to listen and hear the applause? The crisp, dry leaves covered the limbs of the tree, refusing to let go, waiting patiently. But did you notice as you passed under the tree I ever so gentle blew the wind over the leaves to speak My heart of approval to you. As they swung back and forth, gently hitting one another they made beautiful musical noise, like the trickling water in a spring, or a gentle choir of thanksgiving and praise. "There is My girl! I love her so much. Clap for her little leaves. Let her know how special she is to Me. Let her hear My heart of knowing she is my precious daughter, and I am so proud of her!"

Do you know how often I think of you? How I sing your praise? Are you looking for approval for others when you already have full unconditional acceptance from Me. I love you not for what you do for Me. I love you for who you are in Me! You see, I love you and applaud you for just being yourself - the person I created you to be. Sure, not everyone will like you. Some people think that people different from them are "wrong", but this is so not true. Each person is created in My image and Jesus died for them. If that doesn't help you see that I value and love all of the children I create, You simply don't know Me.

I like variety. Anyone that knows a little bit about Me sees how obvious this is. Just look out of your window at all the different kind of plants I have made. No two are identical to Me. One cottonwood might look just like another one to you, but to Me it is uniquely placed on earth and growing up at its own pace. Have you ever counted the number of leaves on a tree? I have! And believe Me, just because two tree stand side by side, when you get down to the detail like the number of leaves, they are so unique.

This is why you are so special to Me. There is not another girl in all the world just like you! I planned it this way. I wanted you to be uniquely you. So walk a little slower, listen to My whisper of approval, and be confident to be who you naturally are. You are so beautiful to Me, just as you are!
