Fall Fashion Accessories I Love
I have never been one to go and buy the latest trends for the season just because they are the latest trends. In fact, style trends drive me up the wall. The problem with trends is that some mysterious fashion guru high in the sky determines what's "in" for the next four months of our lives, and therefore that is all we will find lining the store shelves.
Even so, there are some cool accessories this season that I think I
just might have to snatch up for fall. Granted a lot of what you'll
find this season is biker and rocker-styled duds, which are definitely
not my style, still, I have found plenty of snazzy accessories to
integrate into my wardrobe.
Hosiery - I love fun hosiery, but for a while there it was getting
hard to find. In my opinion, hosiery is always in style if you wear it
right. If you want to wear a patterned tight, like this one below, make
sure you pair it with a very classic and simple dress or skirt. For
most people, pairing a pattern with a pattern is too much. Or if you
want to go really daring, go with a pair of bright colored tights, but
again, make sure you pair them with a dress or skirt that is a
coordinating color - green and purple - pink and orange, purple and
orange, black and white.Too much of the same color and you could look
like the purple people eater. I also like gray or black dresses with colored tights. Just the other day I paired a gray skirt and blouse with a purple necklace and purple-ish tights. Another look I love is gray tights paired
with a lighter-toned gray skirt or dress.
Chunky necklaces and bangles - While chunky necklaces can be hard
to pull off in summer, they beg to be worn in fall. Just make sure you
don't pair both a bangle and a necklace on the same day. Less is definitely
more when it comes to chunky jewelry.
Scarves - Scarves are cool no matter what the season, but they are actually functional in fall and winter. A statement scarf can be worn around the neck, as a headband, as a belt or even as a purse tie.
Belts - I personally love wide belts, and they are super functional. I love belts paired with dresses, and they make the waist look super small.
And of course, handbags - Handbags always seem to go a little bit
bolder in the fall. Right now rocker chic, shiny metallics and textured
animal prints are a lot of what you'll find, but you can also find some
very classic colored and natural hued bags. Those are great, classic
additions to a wardrobe that won't go out of style.
