Here Comes That Dreamer

Sinet Sufferers with Shannon

"Here comes that dreamer!" they said to each other. (Genesis 37:19 NIV)

Beautiful One, did you know that without a dream, your dream can't come true? And while were on the subject, since when do dreams know boundaries anyway?BESTDREAM

We are rapidly approaching the end of another year. Maybe we started this year with great expectations. As we moved through the months maybe our expectations or goals encountered troubles that seemed to push us back and down. Whether we were setback or moved forward doesn't really matter. In the end, everything we encountered is all part of God's plan. Everything will work together and for our good. Imagine that! Think about it this way: setbacks are actually setups. Setbacks can be the very blueprints for our amazing comebacks. If we allow it, they can be the catalyst that ushers us into the very thing God had in store for us all along.

Beautiful One, we need to remember that God is in control at all times. The Bible clearly tells us that the steps of a man are directed by the Lord (Proverbs 20:24 NIV). So, if you have stepped into trouble somewhere along the way, be of good cheer! There has never been a step you have taken that God himself didn't already foresee and make provision for.

There are countless men and women used by God who have chosen to fulfill a specific purpose on this earth. If you look closely at their lives, a common thread usually emerges: the dreaded thread of trouble. Trouble connected these people to their destinies. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you got into trouble because you were not in the will of God.

That may not be true at all!

Jesus was in the will of God and He went to the cross. Job was in the will of God when hardship and heartache knocked on his door. Joseph was in God's will when he ended up a slave in Egypt. Yet, despite his circumstances, God gave him a series dreams showing Joseph what was on his horizon in his life. But before Joseph experienced the fulfillment of his dreams, he first went through many troubles and trials. Joseph experienced many dark places that totally contradicted what God had shown him in his heart.

DreamJoseph was hated and despised because of his dreams. His own family members had disdain for him. After God brought Josephs dreams to light, his very own brothers were the ones responsible for pushing Joseph into the pit of despair and discouragement. Or so they thought! What was meant to harm Joseph was actually the very first step in sending that boy on his way to his destiny.

Which leads me to my second warning: sometimes your greatest opposition will come from those who are the closest to you. The very ones who are supposed to have your back, can actually be the ones who stab it.

But we need to remember that it's all part of the plan. Nothing has ever escaped the attention of God's careful eye. Your story was written from beginning to end. No matter what kind of opposition hits your home and no matter where it comes from. Trouble does not mean you're not going to make it. It means that victory is going to be even greater than you have imagined because, great trouble only befalls great people! So never give up on your dreams. God knows all of your limitations, shortcomings and insecurities. He knows who stands with you, who fights you and who will walk away and leave you.

We may be confused and discouraged along the way but we can always be sure of this; if anyone sticks their foot out to trip us, God will surely use that foot as a stool so we may step on up into what He has in store for us.

So go ahead and dream. Aim for what's on the horizon. Dream big because dreams have no boundaries, and with God all things are possible!

Beautiful One, just believe and let it be said of you, "Here comes that dreamer!"

More than a conqueror
