My nine year-old son, Jordyn, loves the Lord in a way that is so innocent, pure and genuine. I truly can understand why Jesus tells us to come to him as a child. Jordyn and I were talking one day and he told me he couldn't wait to a
sk God what his name was. He imagined something like Bob. There's no doubt in my mind that God smiled at that one. This blessed me because one of my concerns is the non-Christian influence my husband has on our children. It's moments like this that lets me know God is in control.
Who I Am
As woman, I have many roles. To my husband I am a wife. To my children I am a mom To my nephews, I'm an aunt. To my parents, I'm a daughter. To my siblings, I'm a sister. To my grand children, I'm a grand-mother, To my step-children, I'm step-mother and to my husband's siblings, I'm a sister-in-law.
All the people in my life, know me in different roles. Often times we see God in one role. Though He is one, He has many characteristics. As I'm one woman created in the image of God, I have different characteristics. I've learned that knowing the names of God helps me understanding His differerent characteristics. It reaffirms that He is everything to me.
Where our husbands fall short, God is there. Where our husbands lack understanding of our many emotional needs, God understands. When our husbands drive us crazy, God drives us back to where we belong. Let's explore His many names and what they mean to us.
