A Verse I seem to come back to a lot...
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor 16-18
One of My Favorite Quotes...
"Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented….?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God…We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~Nelson Mandella
I Love...
Ministering the potential that lies hidden in a life fully surrendered to Jesus; a hot and sunny day at the lake; entertaining friends; decorating our turn-of-the-century home; playing piano; writing short stories; music; working out; cleaning (yeah I know, weird); blogging; my dog; farm animals (what can I say, I grew up on a farm); looking out the window; shoes; handbags; clothes; makeup; playing ball in the yard with my little monkey-boy; and of course, I love all things having to do with dessert.
Not much love for...
Any weather below 72 degrees; religion; dreary days; a messy, unorganized and dirty house; immaturity, mornings, I hate mornings, bad hair days.
Bio:
Kate Turnbow is a former journalist turned investigations company owner, blogger, freelance writer, and mom. She uses her talents to fulfill the calling God has placed on her life to bring women into the destiny that has been specifically ordained just for them.
Kate is a graduate of Crichton College in Memphis, TN with a degree in writing and New Testament Greek. She is also an accidental mom who is now permanently attached to a three-year-old little boy. With her early twenties filled with tumult, severe oppression, depression, anxiety and even a stay in a psychiatric facility, she would have never dreamed of also getting married and becoming a mother during that time. After overcoming her natural-born melancholy personality by the grace of God, she now lives a happy life that she feels she was destined to live, in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere.
She also assists in her husband's ministry to youth and young adults and to those struggling with drug and alcohol addictions. They are active in their church and the community, and they also recently began celebrating the feasts of the bible with their son, Kaydn Rye. Kate hopes to bring more families into an understanding of the significance of the God ordained feasts and celebrations of the Bible.
