A Verse I seem to come back to a lot...
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
This verse speaks to me because it tells me that the work in me was initiated by God and, therefore, WILL be completed by Him. I'm a work in progress that is guaranteed to be perfected--when He's finished with me, that is.
One of My Favorite Quotes...
"Though the trial might be unavoidable, the misery is optional."
I Love...
God's grace. My family.
A good book while soaking in a hot bubble bath. A great meal with my husband. A laughing baby. A milestone I can share with my children. Time with my friends who forgive how little time I actually have. Deadlines because, without them, I would get nothing done. Coffee--also without which I would accomplish nothing.
Not much love for...
…People who hurt my family. Dishonesty. Selfishness--especially when I find it in myself. When my kids are impolite which is seldom, thank God. Laziness. When people have low or no expectations for themselves. Sleeping in. Rudeness.
Bio:
I’m married to Wil who is my best friend, my favorite singer and the best portrait artist I’ve ever seen. I have six kids: Erik was born in 1992, Natalie in 1997, Emily came along in 2001 and the triplets, Logan, Megan and Ryleigh, were born in 2008. It’s a busy household, but it’s definitely a blessed one. Aside from working at home as a writer, I also love to lead women’s Bible studies, give talks on various Bible and parenting subjects, and teach and guide other writers on their journeys
I am a published author and a writer of all sorts of things. In 2008, I was published as a contributing author of six devotional books for women that are all a part of the Whispers of Wisdom series for Barbour Publishing. In August of 2009, the first two books in my YA series, Scenarios: Interactive Fiction for Girls, will be released as well.

I'm not perfect--that truth makes me so grateful to God for His grace and forgiveness. daily, I hold to the promise that He will complete the work that He in me. I find relief in the fact that He began the work and that He's the one who will complete it. It doesn't mean that I have no responsibility in the process, it simply allows me to relax and enjoy it. I hope you'll join me as I continue to journey toward completeness.
