Meet Take Root Publishing CEO/Owner
Spring M. Fricks
Instead of a standard bio page, I prefer Coffee Talk…things we might talk about while sipping coffee in the comfy chairs in the corner of the local coffee shop.
And, since I used the word coffee three times in the above sentence, it’s a safe bet that you know by now that I love coffee.
However, my first and greatest love is Yeshua (Jesus). He is mine and I am His…Forever…end of story. And yes, I’m Jewish. I’m the granddaughter of Jewish Slovenian immigrants, who moved here as Hitler was starting his reign of terror all over Europe. My Father's side also has Jewish blood dating back to the Crusades in the Highlands of Europe.
Despite my heritage, I was not raised according to Judaism. My family lived in an anti-Semitic area of Yugoslavia and quite a few generations back, they went through forced conversions to Roman Catholicism. As such, I was raised Christian. But, my heart is Jewish and so I believe in the bridging of Christianity and Judaism in which results the life Yeshua always intended for us as spelled out in the Holy Bible. A life lived according to His standard and directives.
I’m also a writer. It’s the only way I know to keep my imagination in check and allow my dreams to come to life. To that end, I work in both fiction and non-fiction fields of writing. And, I can’t talk about writing without mentioning my love for books, but that would take way too long.
Coinciding with my love of writing and books is Take Root and Write Publishing, LLC. I have the distinct pleasure of owning and running this company as her CEO. We have had a digital magazine titled Rooted Living, however it has been merged with the site and submissions to RL are used as guest posts on the front page. And we have a devotional site, Take Root and Write Devotions that emails/publishes daily devos.
The only thing left to share is that which is dearest to me, second only to Yeshua…my family. I’m married to my best friend, Greg who is also co-owner of TRP, and we have two hysterically wonderful children. For this I thank the Lord every day.
